Health Plan Administration
• Health Claims
This
product is used to administer all aspects
of health benefit reimbursement including
electronic claim receipt with auto adjudication,
referral tracking and comprehensive provider
network tracking and pricing options.
This product handles Medical, Dental,
Vision and Flexible Spending Account Claims.
It supports a variety of UCR databases
and the Ingenix Claims Edit Database for
Claim Code Editing.
• Benefit Eligibility
Provides
a means of calculating and/or tracking
eligibility for all types of benefits
for participants and their dependents.
Optional COBRA, Direct Pay and Self Pay
tools are provided. Flexible reporting
tools allow the administrator to print
a wide variety of reports and statements
as well as generating data files for external
vendors.
• Coverage Billing
A
full function solution for group or individual
premium billing for a variety of coverages.
The premium assessment, invoice generation
and payment collection processes all provide
a rich foundation for tracking member
benefits as well as reporting activity
within the billing cycle. This product
offers an alternative method to providing
eligibility based on employment; a situation
common in corporate and church environments.
• Short Term Disability
Allows for a one-time
setup of disability and other automatic
weekly reimbursements. Scheduled review
cycles can be applied to allow for appropriate
case review. The appropriate forms can
be printed immediately following each
check for ease of administration.

Retirement
Plan Administration
• Defined Benefit Pension
Enables the user to
define their plan rules in a table format,
which will then calculate vesting and
benefit, credits and payment options for
participants. The product includes counseling
tools in addition to statement generation
and government reporting. The Contribution
product automatically shares its information
with this product.
• Pension Disbursements
Automates the disbursements
from a Defined Benefit Pension fund to
retirees and/or their beneficiaries. The
Pensioner module includes the facilities
for setting up a participant as a pensioner
and issuing the monthly checks.
• Defined Contribution Pension
Automates the administration
of all aspects of a defined contribution
pension plan. Each participant has an
individual account, updated via the Contributions
product, which can have user-defined yield
and expenses applied. This product also
includes a disbursement feature as well
as an optional loan processing capability.

General Administration
• General Administration Processing
This product is relied
upon by each basys software product to
centralize the administration of functions
that are common to more than one of the
basys products. These functions include
Security, Printer & Tape drive interfaces,
Year End form production, General Ledger
data export, Correspondence Tracking,
and Member Master Merge.
• Contributions
This module incorporates
all Employer based Accounts Receivable
functions for multiemployer employee benefit
plans. Includes user-defined remittance
forms, electronic and manual contributions
input, extensive delinquency and late
penalty calculations, and payroll audit
support. Features optional capabilities
for reciprocity reporting, stamp tracking
and employer withdrawal liability.
• Electronic Workflow
basys has developed a fully integrated
electronic work management system that
allows customers to automate the flow
of work within their offices. This greatly
improves efficiency by creating an expert
system for your office's workflow based
on user-maintained rules. eFlow delivers
the work to the appropriate users along
with the programs and related materials
(e.g. document image) needed to complete
the work.
• Electronic Content Management (Imaging)
basys offers an integrated electronic
content management and imaging solution
that allows basys customers to store and
retrieve electronic images in conjunction
with the basys software, thereby allowing
them to largely eliminate the need for
file cabinets, microfilm and microfiche.
The result is increased efficiency of
all personnel by decreasing the reliance
on paper documents. Reduce time spent
by customer service personnel responding
to inquiries.
• Web Self-Service
NETime Benefits® is
a web-based self-service application that
allows participants, providers of service,
employers, and local unions to obtain
real-time information regarding a particular
employee's employee benefits from the
basys benefit administration system.

Other Administration
• Savings/Vacation
Automates the yield
calculation and disbursement processes
for these types of benefit plans. Features
include on demand or batch disbursements,
unlimited withholding types and detailed
participant statements.
• Union Dues
Users can initiate
dues assessments for initiation amounts,
monthly/quarterly amounts and death benefits.
Check-off dues are passed automatically
from the Contributions product leaving
the over-the-counter and reporting functions
to this product.
