At basys, the Associate System Administrator is part of team responsible for building and maintaining a robust environment to support our proprietary applications. This environment includes supporting our in-house, hosted and external customer Unix system.
We have an opportunity for an Associate System Administrator to join our Unix support team, working at our corporate office in Linthicum, MD, near BWI airport.
Responsibilities
- Perform proactive application server maintenance
- Provide first level customer ticket support
- Monitor system logs and generate monthly performance reports
- Contribute to various System Administrator projects and tasks
Requirements
- A.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of Unix or Linux
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Strong initiative with a desire to learn
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Work Visa required.
