basys is committed to encouraging and implementing practices that will ensure the health of our planet. Currently, basys actively pursues the following:
- Reduction of paper usage at headquarters by developing and implementing paperless processes
- Reduction of paper shipped to customers with online reference information and invoiced printed to .PDF format and emailed.
- Reduction of paper by replacing fax transmissions with email.
- Recycling of all waste paper and bottles / cans through services basys negotiated with our building management company
- Reducing energy usage by turning off lights and monitor screens, setting equipment to go into energy reduction mode, keeping thermostats set at constant temperatures throughout the facility, and converting desktop PCs to laptops
- Decrease of employee commuting time and energy by providing resources and opportunities for employees to access basys computer systems and meet with others while working at remote locations
- Shipping items with degradeable, environmentally-friendly packing materials and using products made from recycled materials
